Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CanadaNVR ("CanadaNVR," "we," "us") and the coin provenance verification services offered at canadanvr.ca (the "Service"). By submitting an item, placing an order, or using the verification lookup, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service Is

CanadaNVR authenticates coins submitted to us and creates a permanent registry record for each verified item, consisting of photographs, identifying characteristics, and authenticator notes. We issue a physical certificate bearing a unique certificate ID and QR code linking to the public registry entry.

2. What the Service Is Not

CanadaNVR does not assign numeric or letter condition grades. We do not provide appraisals, insurance valuations, or investment advice. A CanadaNVR certificate confirms that we examined and authenticated the specific item described in the record — it is not a guarantee of market value.

3. Submissions

1. You represent that you are the lawful owner of any item you submit, or are authorized by the owner to submit it.
2. Items are shipped and returned at the submitter's risk unless insured return shipping is purchased.
3. We may decline to authenticate or return-without-service any item we reasonably believe to be stolen, counterfeit beyond the scope of our process, or otherwise unsuitable.

4. The Registry Record

1. Once issued, a registry entry is not edited or removed except to correct a factual error we made, or where required by law.
2. The public verification lookup shows only the information we determine is part of the provenance record. It never shows your name, address, or other personal contact information.
3. A registry entry may be marked "reported lost" or "reported stolen" at the request of the certificate holder of record.

5. Fees & Payment

Fees are as displayed at checkout at the time of order. Add-on services (rush processing, public showcase listing, insured return shipping) are optional and charged only if selected. Fees are non-refundable once authentication work has begun, except where an item is found to be inauthentic, in which case the applicable service fee is waived or refunded at our discretion.

6. Turnaround Times

Turnaround estimates shown at each pricing tier are estimates, not guarantees, and begin once we receive the item, not on the order date.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CanadaNVR's liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fee paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of resale value.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which CanadaNVR is registered to operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
